About the event
Join us for a discussion of The Seed Keeper by Diane Wilson. This novel explores themes of ecological sustainability, Indigenous identity, and cultural heritage. Free copies of The Seed Keeper are available while supplies last at participating libraries.
Dubuque County Reads brings together readers across the county to engage with important themes through literature. The Seed Keeper follows Rosalie Iron Wing, a Dakota woman reconnecting with her heritage and ancestral stories. Through multiple generations, the novel invites reflection on land, memory, and cultural preservation. This event is part of a larger initiative to promote literacy, foster community dialogue, and encourage respect for diverse perspectives.
The program culminates with a visit from the author of the The Seed Keeper Diane Wilson. She appear for an author presentation on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Steeple Square.
